Dalai Lama: The Path to Lehigh and Beyond Exhibition
Continues in Linderman
An
exhibition throughout Linderman Library commemorates the
events and activities leading up to and including the visit
of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Lehigh University in July
2008.
Composed of event artifacts and images, the exhibition
begins with the first year student experience reading an
autobiography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and includes
coverage of the numerous lectures and events presented
throughout the school year.
Two
featured highlights are the sand Mandala created in
Linderman Library by Monks of the Namgyal Monastery
Institute and the teaching and public lecture in July by His
Holiness the Dalai Lama. Large colorful photographs document
these events.
A time
line, table tents and bookmarks were designed and installed
by FUSION Studio, a student design agency extension of the
Graphic Design program at Lehigh University. Meredith Talbot
‘10 was project manager and Dylan Coonrad ‘09 was the
designer.
This
exhibition is on display in Linderman Library until the end
of the fall semester, December 17, 2008.
