Symposium on Teaching and Learning Highlights Faculty
Innovations
On April 5th, the Office of Faculty Development and
the Lehigh Lab hosted the 2012 Symposium on Teaching and

New Alfred P. Sloan Data Curation Fellowship

Lehigh Senior, Karen Timmerman, Wins Student Research Prize
A paper written by Karen Timmerman, a senior in the
department of International Relations, was selected for the
2012 Libraries Student Research Prize. The annual award,
sponsored by Library and Technology Services and the Friends
of the Libraries, recognizes excellence in undergraduate
scholarship and the use of library and research resources.

Distance Education Marks Twenty Years at Lehigh
Twenty years ago, Lehigh University entered the relatively
new academic world of distance education by delivering
graduate degrees to students at partner companies such as
Air Products, Merck, Alcoa, Kodak, and Exxon using -- at the
time -- a sophisticated satellite delivery system. Real-time

In Celebration of 40 years of Service in LTS: Judy McNally
Judy McNally is retiring from Lehigh after serving in
several different positions within LTS. Judy began as a
cataloging librarian and then moved to head of Cataloging
and currently is the Team Leader for Technical Services.
Judy is a wonderful mentor and knowledgeable librarian. She
enjoyed teaching staff and is a very effective supervisor.
